Select, seasoned tonkin
cane is split, straightened and precision milled into eighteen triangular
strips. The strips are glued, bound and left in the lagering room for thirty
days.
Reel seats are fabricated
by hand in our shop using hardwoods from around the world. The metal work is
executed in alloy 752, full-hard German silver.
Swiss,
Spigot, or Square design ferrules of precision drawn nickel-silver tubing
are hand lapped and polished on our lathes.
Guides
are wound with the finest silk. Windings are then delicately tipped with
silk of the finest denier available.
Rod
shafts and windings are finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed spar
varnish.
Each
rod is placed in its own custom-made, cloth bag and black, brass capped,
aluminum tube.
