Six Sided Rods
In the following listing, the six sided rod is offered in two distinct actions - the progressive action and, the more powerful, semi-parabolic action. Within the design limits of this wonderful material, there are, literally, hundreds of thousands of variations possible.
Model 87S at 6'3" a delightful little semi-parabolic for the popular 4 weight line. Powerful enough to fish at some distance; but, delicate enough for fine tippets and tiny flies.
Model 95S a 7 feet rod for the 3 wgt. line that is well under 2 ounces. It is a rod of surprising power and refinement. Reminiscent of the Leonard 38H.
Model 97S another 7 footer for the 4 wgt. line. This rod is a delicate, progressive action intended for small flies and light leaders. The 4 wgt line is somewhat more forgiving in the wind.
Model 98S a 7' rod of very robust action. Intended for use with bead heads and weighted nymphs, if necessary. An outstanding all around small stream rod for the 4 wgt. line.
Model 105S a 7'6" rod for the 5 wgt. line. It has a full, progressive action that presents the caster's line in a smooth, delicate loop. This rod is at its best in spring creeks and limestoners. It offers the best possible compromise between wind resistance and delicacy of presentation.
Model 106S a 7'6" for a 5 wgt line. This rod is a semi-parabolic action that is very powerful without seeming to be. It does not begin to distinguish itself until the caster begins to stroke it. The result is smooth and accurate delivery of the line without effort. The virtue of this type of action is that it works well either close or far.
Model 114S a delightful 8 footer for the 5 weight line. A little extra reach with almost no penalty in weight. Under 4 oz.
Model 115S an 8 feet rod of semi-parabolic action. Can be supplied with 3 different tips. The tips can take the rod from a strong 5 wgt. to an almost (but not quite) 7 wgt. Very powerful, yet fishes well close. A good "western" rod.
Model 116S a powerful 8 footer with the elegance of the 106S. A great fishing tool for heavier-duty trouting. 4 oz.
