This is the signature of a J. C. Zimny fly rod. It is you guarantee of a lifetime of fly fishing pleasure.

 

Here is a photo of two reel seats. The top reel seat spacer is of fiddle-back maple. The lower one is of kingwood.

 

A female quad ferrule. One end has been "squared" in order that only a minimal amount of cane needed to be removed from the blank.

 

Male ferrule on the same rod. Our ferrules are made here in our shop.

 

Guide mounting.

 

 

Reel seat detail. This spacer is of kingwood. The cap and ring is of alloy 752 nickel silver.

 

We use a straight handle. It can be sized to your preference.
